13 months today!!!

How is Miss O 13 months old already!!!

Miss O is talking more and more.  Today while we were out I asked her if she could say hi, good morning and she said hi and waved!  She loves waving and pointing at everything.  When we are out she always points and asking,"what's that?" She also started saying "yay" this week.

She still eats anything and everything we give her.  She even eats spicy food.

We also have a new standing unassisted record (close to 60 seconds) that she made last night while playing with Daddy.

Weekly update

I forgot to mention that O tried whole milk for the first time on Feb 8.  It went ok.  I'm still nursing her but we are giving her whole milk at meal/snack time instead of water.

 On Sunday Feb 17. We went on a 5 mile hike in Cuyamaca and O saw snow for the first time!!!

O is getting closer to walking but still isn't walking on her own.  I'm in no hurry to have to walk, she can take as much time as she wants :)

Weekly update

O clapped for the first time February 15.  Last night while we were having dinner O stopped eating and started clapping!!!  I am so excited I was crying.  I have been trying to get her to clap for so long. 

O also stood on her own for the longest she has stood for thus far, about 30 seconds. 

Today O is trying to squat and it appears like she wants to squat and then stand up.

First word!

O said turtle last week during her swim lesson and she said it while Daddy was giving her a bath last night.  She has a green turtle bath toy.  Here's a video I shot today.  You may need to turn up the sound and listen carefully at the very last second!!

Weekly Update and 12 month check up

O said 'turtle' during swim class on Wednesday Feb 6.

O is currently getting her 7th tooth.

She made the 'T' noise all day on Thursday Feb 7.  I' m not sure if this is because our cat's name is Tag.

Friday Feb. 8 O had her 12 month check up.  She is still on the small end of the growth charts but increased on the growth chart for weight.  She now weighs 19 pounds 2.4 oz (40 percentile) and is 28.5 inches long (20 percentile).  Her head circumference is 43.5 cm.  Everything looks good.  The doctor said O is getting her molars. O was supposed to get 6 shots but we got 3 today and will get 3 more in a few months.
